Birth and fetal development has always fascinated me. It is such a miracle!Since I was a teenager I have desired to be involved in childbirth as my life's work. I have had four births of my own; two in a hospital, two in a birthing center. I am the captivated parent of two sons and two daughters; ages 17,19,21,23.
I became a DONA trained doula in 2003. Since then I have been active in area organizations promoting safe, rewarding, low intervention birth. It is wonderful working with the many families and professionals in the area that care so much about birth and bonding. I have had the privilege of attending about 125 births at home and in Tulsa area hospitals.I am also currently training to become a home birth midwife through a local apprenticeship and educational program overseen through the TX. Dept of health.
